Pros

It is big and i used it to filet 2 red grouper with ease, right out of the package. Great large fillet knife with a serviceable sheath. Handled well washing in the dishwasher. A little large for the kitchen drawer.

The blade is flexable and does a good job skinning fillets. Came absolutely razor sharp. Easy to sharpen.

Used it to butcher deer and really like it. Never had a problem with rust with fresh or salt water. Takes and holds an nice edge from a worksharp k o grinder or apex sharpener and a few quick strokes of a ceramic hone every few fish is sufficient.

Cons

Tried filleting a 20lb. It's the dullest blade i could gave imagined.

Fillet knife is a piece of garbage. Definitely not true stainless steel. Made in china.

The knife has a limited lifetime warranty but is worth less than the paper it is written on. Firstly, they will not accept a photo of the problem, the knife has to be sent back to them and they want me to pay for shipping. What good is a warranty when... Read More
