Thank goodness then for a proper cookery writer writing about proper food though olia hercules is a beautiful writer and a talented chef there is no ego here no urge to dominate the narrative

The pictures of the landscapes are stunning though you get the impression that this area does not get a lot of sunshine

The lavash and chicken pie we have a picture of the whole thing taken from the top but get no clue what it looks like on the inside for others we have pictures of the dish before it goes in the oven

This may change in the future and id rather know that this is how they make it than get a watered down massmarket version that tastes nothing like it should

I love that its not just a bunch of recipes but a real story the mini essays at the back of the book are my favourite part closely followed by all those gorgeous photographs
