Pros
Reels are what taught me how to use a casting reel, from the thumb technique to removing birdnests. Two on catfish rods and 1 on a walleye trolling rod. Great size for river catfishing.
This reel for the size and price is way under priced. Id compare it to the abu garcia 6000 which i love. Great bargain reel, its pretty good. Buy it now, you won't be disappointed.
Cons
There's no audible tactile clicks to the brake control, it's friction only. The dial plate is moving all over the place!
This rover 60 is by far the most temperamental, problematic, poorly functioning reel i've ever had. This reel is junk. It belongs in the trash.
Just save your money for a penn or an abu.

In this case it does it at half the price

I’ve now owned 3 kastking rover 60’s for over a year and they haven’t had any problems so far seems to be holding up well
Don’t waste your money on a sougayilang or piscifun
Already caught a 40lb catfish and it handled it with no problems
It runs about 30 less than a comparable ambassadeur 6500 reel

Then got it out to use it this year and first trip the clicker switch came apart on the first cast

I understand that i need to use my thumb to some degree to stop the spool but it was just too loose

Don’t go bigger than a 70 if you plan on casting at all
