I ended up using a jimmy houston knot and proceeded with a strength test to see what it actually broke at vs the rating

Having tested the kastking 10lb mega 8 exceeded expectations and given the positive reviews for this line i was shocked to see the line breaking under rating and as low as it did

Neither sppols had the ripples in the line and spools both had less stretch then before

So i pulled almost twice as hard as i thought i had to pull before it snapped and it still didnt snap and instead hurt my hand a little
