Make sure you still set the wii settings to 16:9 (which is fullscreen) otherwise your picture might be stretchedoing and distorted.

First recognize that the best video output the wii has is s-video, which has its limits - you will never get 1080p quality.

We recently got a new 55 inch smart tv and after hooking up the cable box, blueray player and speakers, i was not able to hook the wii up.

The only possible bad thing i can say is that i can't remove my hdmi cable from this device.

It is also a chinese cheapy cable so i am not sure if it is the cable or the device as it was the first cable i tried.
