Pros

Customer service for the brand is exceptional. This is one of those rare times i'm thoroughly satisfied with not only the product, but the customer service as well. Thank you barney.

It is the sharpest knife i have used. The 15 degree edge is fantastic and it doesn’t feel unwieldy. The quality and sharpness of the blade are well beyond the price point of this knife.

This knife makes meal preparation and cooking in general infinitely easier. Beyond the beauty of the knife itself, it is incredibly sharp.

It feels great in the hand and is perfectly balanced at the pinch point. It effortlessly glides through all your prep needs. It feels nimble and precise, but is also sturdy to get a lot of work done!

Upon inspecting this knife, it is perfectly balanced, sharp as a razor, and easy on the hands. Both the blade and the ebony wood handle are gorgeous.

Cons

The knife has two cosmetic blemishes on it. The same blemish twice in a row. The knife costs $135.

Packaging/appearance

Knife came out of the packaging looking great perfectly sharp and feels good to hold in a pinchgrip

Its very sharp right out of the box

Only complaint or rather suggestion is to remove the 34japanese vg10 core34 text underneath kan and relocate 34kan34 onto the handle

Competitiveness

Ive been using a combination of wustoff classic knives for over 20 years and generally been happy with them

Even though i feel silly having used the other knives for so long i am really glad to have such a highquality tool for the kitchen now

I decided to buy a chef knife based on the recommendation by kenji

Its not exactly cheap but when compared to some of the higher end knives out there it certainly cant be called expensive either
