I actually like these better than my more expensive hooks with bamboo grips because my more expensive ones have sharper hooks that were constantly splitting my yarn if i wasnt careful and it was really difficult to insert the hook in a stitch without splitting the yarn

The grips are actually hard white plastic covered with a softer rubbery sheath in various colors

The sizes cover pretty much the standard range although it doesnt include very small and very large hooks i have another set that includes some smaller and some larger hooks anyway
