Pros & Cons
Pros
Writing is excellent and builds the character and the background nicely. Colin mccool doesn't come off as cheap or cheesy. His fighting skills are up to par, but he relies on guile, dirty tricks, and a lot of moxy to get the job done.
If you're jonesing for your urban fantasy fix, this is a great solution. The author draws you in to the world of supernatural creatures living in austin. Check out this series of you are a fan of urban paranormal fiction.
Massey brings in some very well researched lore with a skilled pen and a deft touch. Colin mccool is a druid and a 20 something guy.
Cons
Every single character is grossly sexualized. They feel clunky and unneeded. At night, * before battle, * in the bathhouse, * everywhere and at the most inappropriate times.
