Pros

M offers different grades of the scotchbrite (green or blue) scouring pads. It is entirely black and non-stick - performing great. This wok is very easy to season and i already have a good patina going.

Wok is great for making stir fry, omelettes, fried eggs, scrambled eggs. I love the slightly thicker steel (compared to cheaper woks) because it doesn't warp when used on my induction stove top.

The trade-off is weight; 1805 grams (4 lbs) vs 1560 gram (3 lbs 7 oz) for my old 1. Use it frequently to stir fry and deep fry to build up the patina and maintain the non-stick surface.



Cons

It is impossible to remove the darn protective coat/lacquer. Contact with skin can cause liver damage, and that isn't even counting ingestion or inhalation of fumes. The plastic melts off and smells horrible when you initially season it.

Don't buy this. Keep scrolling past this one. This is quite ridiculous. Ended up returning it.

Just returned after purchasing about 2 months ago. There is a dent in the wok, and and the small handle is bent. Now it twists in my hands and is basically ruined--all for the cheap black plastic handle.

There wasnt any padding or extra cushing inside the box causing the handles to break through the already thin box


Just fyi1 when carbon steel is shipped to you it will have a protective coating

Nothing worked to get that yelloworange crap off of it well except hours of scrubbing with barkeepers friend and a scrubbie


As a firsttime wok owner i will say perhaps i should have purchased something a little smaller
