I purchased this songbird music box as a keepsake for my best friend's one year old daughter. Although the measurements are included in the description, I still found the box to be smaller than anticipated. If you take a 12 inch ruler, the box measures about 4 inches long (to give some additional clarity). The artwork on the music box is lovely! The product is made in China and comes with a certificate of authenticity. My only disappointment in this music box is the design on the inside. The inside is of course porcelain but it is not covered with any material such as felt. Additionally, the part that makes the music is rather large in comparison to the box itself so there is not much room to place items inside the box. It would nicely secure a few rings or a small bracelet. The part that makes the music is covered by a piece of foam-like material, with the wind up key protruding out from the foam. I am pleased with my purchase as it was meant to be a keepsake for a child but would have been more disappointed had I purchased this box to store other precious items.  Read Less
