If jewelry is really dirty i use a drop of blue dawn dish soap to help out

The instructions were clear enough but the buttons arent really labeled so you have to remember which ones do what

Love it works great and i dont have to add anything except a couple drops of dish liquid soap if its really really dirty

As others have stated you can set the length of time to clean and plan on using a couple of long cycles if you have a really dirty item like a crusty watch band
