I have a bit of a problem with this speaker it really is too loud

No joke the sound is overbearing and when youre listening to something low fidelity like tv or a tape the hiss produced by this extremely sensitive center gets anoying

Will distort at extremely high volumes with extremely powerful amps such as my 550w yamaha but at that point it is too loud to hear anything more then the tearing of your eardrums
