Keep in mind when using this book that some things have changed in android studio the most notable thing being that constraintlayout is now the default in the software

This book does teach you mostly everything about java that you will needuse to program in android

When you write a book about a new evolving technology the technology keeps evolving and changing however the textbook does not and cannot

Even though i looked for a book that was very recently published this situation of the book being fixed for the technology that was current when it was written and the evolving software and development tools that keep changing is at best unavoidable
