I found this book quite interesting and a huge help for every one that wants to have a taste of what java 8 is its new features the way they work and the motivation that moved java people to develop them

This book explains the java 8 ideas in a way that can be followed easily but it relays on previous java versions so maybe a bit of java knowledge would be helpful

The book focus on introduce the reader the new java 8 features and to do that it makes comparisons with other technologies that already have some similar features ie

I enjoyed reading this book the way it introduces features giving the initial taste that made me want to jump into the details even though i read about the java 8 new features before and attend to oracle people meetings introducing the new version

I liked how this book did not bog the experienced reader down with information that they likely already knew but rather kept a narrow focus on the topic at hand the new features of java 8
