This isnt an original itazura coin bank from japan it says made in china right on the back of the package

But it seems to be a pretty decent version compared to some of the other copies although i havent been able to usetest it since its a gift and im sending it to someone so am not opening the item myself

But having read the reviews on other sellers for this item sometimes the customers received versions with english writing on it and where the cat spoke instead of meowed

The way this works is that you place a coin onto the little button and press down it will activate the cat to pop open the box and it will then stick its paw out grabbing the coin and bring it back inside
