If you dont have that disk or something similar then youll need to use the suction cup on the windshield and other reviewers here have stated that this didnt work well for them

Needed a new suction mount for an older model garmin gps having lost or misplaced the original

To get full adjustment for the best angle to view the gps the suction cup can be loosened from the window and rotated to position and then reattached to window
