Pros & Cons

The AI used to provide these results are constantly improving. These results might change.

Pros

Only used once but seems like a high quality set. Drilled out the bolt following the label on the extractor and worked excellent. They are quite pricey but worth it when your in a jam.

Not much to really say here. Well worth the price and not having to replace the oil pump completely. Worth every penny & more.

Nifty little case to keep them all organized. Great product, nicely machine parts and a handy carrying case. Just buy it.

Cons

Either these extractors are to soft and break way to easily or they are to brittle. They just seem to grind out the inside of the drilled stud. Stripped the flutes on the extractor.

Not worth the money. Absolutely garbage. It is not designed for what it's being sold to do. Leaving me in a worse situation.

Quality

Highly recommended this is some quality stuff

Very well built and easy to use

The cap rust welded to the top of the master cylinder and when trying to back it off the 78 nut on the top actually sheared away

It behooves the mechanic to have something like this available for the bolt that never snaps off at a good time

Price

The price 49 for being brand new for this product 53227 was excellent

It was lots cheaper than going to my mechanic and i got a nifty gizmo for my toolbox

They are quite pricey but worth it when your in a jam

I was a little leary because of the price but i am so glad i bought the set

Shipping

This arrived about 45min ago and the drain plug to my yamaha wolverine 350 is already out

Packaging/appearance

Just got mine yesterday and they look great

It came in a compact box with a slider as an open and shut case

However it proved in a no brand box like it was a used or returned set

Competitiveness

I’m a mechanic and it works just as good as the higher name brand tools for a fraction of the price of the tool truck brands

However it proved in a no brand box like it was a used or returned set

I was attempting to perform a cvt fluid replacement on a 2016 subaru impreza

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Embarrassingly i ended up purchasing this set after i stripped the t8 hex socket of the fillcheck plug

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I initially tried a smaller size within the set which appeared to be going well

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I seated the bit into the plug with a few taps from a ball peen hammer and carefully dug the bit in flush with a ratchet slow and steady

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

However the bit was approaching the bottom of its threads without the plug relenting so i switched to the next bit size

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

This larger size eventually did it

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Im unsure if the initial bit used primed the plug so be aware of this
