I have conducted some conference calls with the speaker phone and there is no discernible difference between a naked phone and one encased in the battery case

Still have not charged the phone while in the case as going on 2 days now with just topping off the phone from the battery case

If you use a cheapo unit that does not out put sufficient power the circuitry cannot adequately charge the iphone first then the battery case and this shows itself in the form of beeps and the iphone charging going on and off
