The edges of the case come up just a tiny bit past the front of the screen in just the right way and keeps the screen from being scratched if placed face down

The only not shown in the picture is the top of the case the top only covers the half of top layer

This case is awesome but if u dropped the phone at the wrong angle itll def crack

Wont do well to stop sliding off of a dashboard or other angled surface
