I wasnt sure about the back design before i brought it but i think the backing could also not be as smooth so the phone doesnt feel like it will just fall out of your hand

Unfortunately i dropped my phone already and the case took the brunt of it chipping at the corner and cracking but the phone doesnt have a mark on it
