Not a smooth surface which i liked because it keeps my phone from flying out of my hand

The flip open part of the case is magnetic which is a nice feature for additional protection of the screen however it doesnt fully shut and leaves a slight gap decent size gap

I will say though that the case does have a plastic type of feel to it although the product description mentions being made of denim

I actually got this phone case as a gift for my brother as i do not currently have an iphone 6

He has also been looking to buy a new wallet and in particular has been looking at those ultra slim wallets you know those single segmented ones that do not fold in half
