Very snug fit fits my ipad mini first or 2nd generation hybrid case with silicon rubber out layer and covers all the ports with rubber flaps to keep anything extraneous out of the ports but easy access to all ports this is a two piece case but does not have a screen protector to it

I have a glass screen protector on this as i have already busted the corner on my ipad and put on the glass screen protector and then this case and it holds the ipad very snuggly and holds down the ends of the screen protector unlike the last case i had as the case did not go as far up to work with the case effectively and kept peeling up my screen protector this one snugs it into place and doesnt allow the corners to come up on my screen protector
