The instructions that it comes with unfortunately do not help in figuring out how to turn it on or use it however

It did take some doing to figure out how to get it to pair with the ipad however

The function or fn key in the lower left hand corner of the keyboard paired with the bluetooth symbol or letter c key is how it is turned on for bluetooth so that it will pair with your ipad
