The previous case had velcro that facilitated the rotation of the ipad into a portrait orientation

The other thing that is different is the use of rubber bumps on the inside of the cover to enable the ipad to be positioned in a number of different angles without slipping something that the plastic ridges in the previous case just didnt do so well
