Pros

They keep our dog from roaming from seat to seat. No falling out of car windows, or being thrown around on sudden stops. This restraint is just the right length where she can reach the window.

They work great for a 90lb. Labrador retriever. I have 2, 35lb wheaten terriers and in the car they were all over the place. The only issue i had is i'm using it for a great dane and at full length it does not give him much ability to move.

Cons

Locking carabiner for connection to dog becomes loose and no longer locks. My belgian malinois is only 45 pounds she's very petite.

Great in theory. However, if it doesn't release it’s useless. Defeats the purpose, unless purpose was to get permanently stuck. Otherwise steer clear. Poor quality parts except for the latch.
