Pros

Thanks to u. S. Painless to set up. It's tiny, and i like its form factor better than that of the brostrend. But it really needs some venting or <em</em>, because this is more than a little nuts.

The steps are as follows. Follow the instructions to complete the installation. After more web searches, was able to download and upgrade the firmware.

Cons

Not suitable for unattended use. Not very safe imo.

The device runs very hot and i believe it is overheating causing it to hang. My computer detects it is connected to the onboard network but continues to disconnect and reconnect.

When i hook it to my pc to test it, it gets no default gw and no dns. Disabled the firewall, same thing. The online tech support is worthless.

This adapter is not reliable at all. I have to cycle the power daily to keep it connected to my wifi. The router i'm testing it with is 12 feet away. It's easy to set up and easy to use, but doesn't work well for any sort of long-term connectivity.

It became very difficult to find a driverless wifi to ethernet adapter until i stumbled upon the iogear gwu637

Upgraded from prior iogear model that served well for a number of years but lacked wpa2 capability
