The construction is solid and better than other Euro-look-alikes that I've seen.To install in tile, stone, or the like, you'll need a larger plastic anchor than the one supplied. It's not a big deal (20 cents or so for one to fit a #12-14 screw), but grab one at the hardware store before you drill the hole.While the stop will unthread from the stud in the floor, you'll still have a short stud sticking up, so I wouldn't recommend this for doors that heed to swing more open than where you place the stop more than just occasionally. I don't see this as a design defect as you'd need to put a threaded socket into the floor to get around this, which would mean a significantly larger hole (that also would be beyond the capacity of most homeowners' drills).No idea how well the rubber will hold up; time will tell.I'm happy enough that I'd buy it again   Read Less
