Pros & Cons
Pros
Had a the wraith spire with the stock thermal paste and this graphite heat sink. Mounting the pad is pretty easy and it covers the entire apu. Be sure to at least take your cpu out when applying this between it and your cpu cooler.
Best paste solution for overclocking temps (my opinion). Surprisingly this thermal pad meets the same nominal temperatures i got using arctic silver 5, albeit maybe running a degree or two higher than with as5. Will stay on paste on future devices.
I didn't hesitate as i put my core i7 3770k-based desktop together. The 5800x idles around 45c and reaches 65c while gaming at 1440p ultra. If you order the 40x40 it's the perfect size on the alder lake setup.
Cons
This is just a scam, at least on intel procs. I believe these reviewers are either lying or plants from within the company. My biggest issue is that it quotes the best performance when in reality it's quite mediocre.
Highlights
Quality
I went with the 2pack with the idea of using them in my laptop as well
And this helps me to save time and not have to worry about overdoing it with the paste
With the new set up under load gaming temps never get above 60 and hover around 55 degrees
Unless youre not going to move the part with the actual gpu that has this thermal pad will be placed on it otherwise it will slide around
Packaging/appearance
Best of all you need never have to worry if you put too little or too much normal thermal paste on the cpugpu
Not as good performance as paste its about 5 degrees hotter than quality paste
I didnt want to mess around with thermal goop
Competitiveness
Im using them on a 2010 macbookpro and 2009 imac
Im using this pad on a ryzen 9 5950x and noctua nhd15 chromax
I upgraded my system to include a ryzen 5 5600x and mounting this thermal graphite was way too easy
Didnt think it was going to do the job i have a ryzen 5 3600x and it keeps it cooler then the artic 5 did
