It is somewhat lighter than the vb seat but the material is roughly the same thickness

What is more the seat was nicely packed unlike a replacement i ordered from b and q which cost twice as much wast softclose and arrived broken

My advice is if you buy a new dshape toilet dont buy the seat at the diy shop but buy this one and fit it yourself

I was concerned it might have been flimsy as its hard to tell when you order online but this is a firm solid nonbendy plastic

Its also stained the 2 metal fixings
