Pros

The flavor is subtler than the turbinado i use. A simple syrup 2:1 with this is very smooth and lends almost a maple-y flavor. It has a slightly caramel-ly flavor in coffee.

Demerara sugar has a much larger grain, adding a subtle crunchy sweetness to any home baked items. The 1-lb packets are not too big and not too small. Changed from creamer w/ unreadable ingredients to almond milk & this tasty sugar.

It makes the sprinkling on baked goods so much easier, and cheaper too. Heavy, clear plastic so not to worry about breakage in shipment. Don't overheat or cause to boil.

It is hard to find, used to be at walmart. We used to buy the tate & lyle demerara that is imported from the uk - this is far more economical and with the same great taste!

Cons

The sugar is fine, but the per-ounce price and the description all clearly indicate they should ship four pounds but they only shipped one. But only got the 1 of the 4 packs.
