Pros & Cons

Pros

One hundredth of an inch is good enough for me. The fractional reading is handy. The decimal gauge is a little small to read but the outer fractional gauge is great.

Igaging calipers are my go-to tool now. Nice to have a grab and use caliper with no batteries and no on/off switch. Works well enough for choosing drill sizes and fastener sizes. Not a super fancy unit for machining, but at this price what do you expe...  Read More

This caliper is great for woodwork and comes in handy in the kitchen as well when using a mandolin. The ability to read fractional measurements is essential in woodworking. I use them far more often than the machinist's calipers in my shop.

The product itself, with the caveat i’ve only had it 24 hours, is well made and seems accurate against set up blocks i own. It is way sturdier than my other caliper.

The dial part of the caliper is easy to read and easy to zero for accurate measurements. I'm a little visually impaired and the dial is a little easier for me to read.

Cons

Calipers don't have a fractional scale and a decimal scale right on the dial. I prefer the decimal scale to be on the outer rim of the dial, which this one isn't. The calipers are still useable (i think), but without the spring, they move too easily.
