Pros & Cons

Pros

This thing is awesome. This thing delivers on all. And this monopod is of the same quality. This one is fantastic!

The cobra 2 is extremely light, easy to carry, very sturdy and surprisingly stable for a monopod. It is lightweight enough that this aging septuagenarian can carry it. Its a little bit heavy but relayable and realy well built.

The monopod is extremely versatile with the tripod foot that is included. The build quality is ridiculously good, so if i had to find anything to complain about, maybe the feet could be little lighter, and an all blacked out version would be cool.

Tubes slide smoothly without wobble. Ball in base allows for smooth movement, with no jerks and catch points. Can take spherical cameras and traditional cameras as well.

Every part of this is well designed and manufactured. The design is superb. I wish i bought this sooner in my career.

    Other monopods pale in comparison

I bought the 71’ instead of the 47’ due to the fact that it wouldn’t be tall enough for the things i want to do with it

Only thing that is a bummer for myself is that it won’t fit into my gym bag when it is down to its minimum height

But i can’t hold this against the monopod itself

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The time it takes to loosen and tighten sections of a monopod without quick release is enough for you to miss things i had a monopod with that system previously and it ended up collecting dust for years since it wasnt practical

I always thought the legs on a monopod were kinda useless since they cant rival the stability of a tripod but they immediately solved the other reason i abandoned my monopod without legs once you disconnect you have to either hold it the whole time really hard when you are shooting or put it on the floor and risk tripping over it

Someone knew what they were doing when they designed this thing

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I almost did myself but being a reader of reviews i was steered away from one particular lessexpensive option mainly because of the lack of quickrelease sections and lead to this gem
