The only drawback that i know of is the price around four hundred bucks each

Everything work great the otter box fit perfectthe igrill was a gift to my son and he loved it
I also went on the igrill website to see about the warranty
Then i thought that maybe it was my bluetooth headset interfering so i turned it off and tried to reset the igrill
I should have put new batteries in the igrill

Both of these are used by a large number of bbq competitors

The app is a little weak in capabilities but for the purpose providing perfect temperature readings it is the only remote that does it

Pros 2 accurate probes great app for apple products high and low alarms stays connected at long distancescons no android app yet temp display on device hard to read in sunlight although i always use the app on my ipod so not a big deal builtin stand for device pretty flimsy again for app users not a concern ambient temperature probe attachment not includedoverall a great little device and one of the few like it on the market

I only use recipe times as a general guide nothing comes off the grill until this thing tells me its hit the temperature i want

When the battery life drops the bluetooth communication fails however the unit continues to display the temperatures at the bbq
