I do see that the wood is a bit rough but dont see shards or dangerous issues nor were there wood chipsshavingsetc out of the package

My only real complaint is that theres no diagramdirections which you would think that you dont need as you can use imaginationbox pictures to build but in order to get the correct angleslant for it to work we had to try several different combinations

Around this time we were traveling often with the children and in searching for a marble run that could operate adhesively or magnetically so as to keep the los occupied in the hotel rooms found nothing available

Obvs what it comes down to w this application what makes it worth the mod is simply that now each track piece may be considered and manipulated by the child without having the whole structure integrally dependent and subject to possible failure from the adjustment

Id imagine it would be pretty difficult to break any of the wooden pieces
