The release is a little baulky, but it might loosten up a bit with working and as my uncle once told me: They make this stuff called oil (and grease). It also wasn't as sharp as it might have been, but when I dressed the blade up a bit, it appeared that the blade was well sharpened before it was coated with the protective coating, so the epoxy or paint didn't do wonders for the edge. Sharpening amounted to mostly cleaning off the coating on that actual edge. Anything to make it glide through the work with less effort.  Read Less
