Pros & Cons
Pros
I use 20oz camelback wide mouth bottles and they work great. These are also made for bikes with pre-drilled holes in the frame. Now my german shepherd gets plenty of water on our rides!
Not much to complain about, lol. Keep in mind these are aluminum, depending on your bottle they may get scratched, that's just basic physics at play. When i hit a pothole it's always the steel cage that drops the bottle.
Light weight, looks great, holds bottles securely. Slightly bendable for oversized/undersized bottles.
Cons
The information in packaging is incorrect. It seems kind of flimsy, and if the durability is similar to the directions, it won't last long. Also, packaging now has a caveat to not use the cages for off road use.
It took me months of messing with the bike to figure out what the rattling noise was. Now the seat cage mount extension is also unusable! I replaced the nuts with lock nuts from home depot.
The finish rubs off on every water bottle and has ruined at least 6 of mine. My polar waterbottle is stained and scratched pretty bad.
