Not only is it the first book ive read with a main character that identifies as nonbinary but its the first ya book about an enby teen i know of written my a nonbinary author

I wish that i could complain that the premise of parents disowning their son when he comes out to them bent my ability to suspend reality but i have seen enough actual accounts from real people on the various social media forums that i know that this unthinkable act does happen
