I totally meant to do that is a really funny and poignant memoir made up of essays written by jane borden

In it borden is trying to decide once and for all whether shes going to be a new yorker and forsake north carolina or if shes going to go home to north carolina and leave new york city

Thats not where my issue with the last essay lies

Its the way she goes back through her own essays bound in this very book and picks apart her own words and writing figuratively and maybe even literally smacking herself in the forehead for writing certain spots

It doesnt even hang together as well as the rest of the essays in the book

    And thats kind of regrettable

The last essay though i think is a skipper and not her best work based on the rest of the book

She next moved to new york and discovered that none of this grooming meant a lick to anyone
