    Just got my alienware r11 and neglected to select the 32gb option and due to the systems supported memory configurations i need 2x16gb i could not install 4x8gb

    Upon first boot up i had to confirm that i had changed my hardware at the bios screen but after that windows recognized the 64gb without issue

    I purchased hyperx fury 64gb 3200mhz ddr4 cl16 dimm kit of 4 black xmp desktop memory hx432c16fb3k464 for my alienware aurora r9 working flawless installed wait for bios to tell you that you change memory press continue wait for full start screen press restart holding f2 for bios press advanced scroll down to performance option if you dont see xmp press optimized default press ok then change for xmp 1 save and the system start itself check with alienware command center will see memory to 3200 mhz good luck
