It is totally covered in rust scale from 13 years of hard ground water but this does not effect its operation

I would not waste my money or time with a floating bobber on a cord pump

The flotec plastic cord always dried out and got stiff

The cord would get so stiff that it prevented the bobber from shuting the pump off and burning it out or not turning the pump on when it was completely under water until you bumped it
