    There were several items that would not give me a clear reading that should have been basically a 7 or 6 but they gave me a bright canary yellow that was nowhere near any color on the chart.

    They need to be properly calibrated, rinsed with every use, can be very inaccurate, require batteries, some solvents will melt the plastic, and too high of a ph can result in the glass bulb breaking.
