Pros & Cons
Pros
Hubbert's shoe oil is easy to apply, soaks in readily. Similar in consistency to and slightly darker than new 10w-30 motor oil. Scrubbed in with a shine brush.
The product is great, the carrier or delivery company not so much. In australia if you live in the city the shippers are great, in the country you are at the mercy of the lowest bid.
This oil is a tremendous leather preserver. It conditions the leather and keeps it hydrated so it doesn't crack or split. The oil gets into the nooks and crannies and around the welt stitching more reliably than the paste.
The oil is thick and viscous and does have this odd smell, but that does not linger terribly long. No fumes. Not bad fragrance.
Cons
It is too bad amazon could not get it right. Very unhappy with it.

Packaging/appearance
Was nervous about discoloring the boot but they turned out great
Comes out of the bottle like 30 weight motor oil on a cool day
Competitiveness
Love all of huberds products applies very evenly and soaks in very well

The workboots themselves increased in price just 10 during the same timeframe
Half the price of the aforementioned competitor but i feel a little pricey it looked bigger in the picture
