Pros & Cons
Pros
Nathan bransford has an easy, engaging style that's very conversational, and makes for an enjoyable read.
It is easy to read and succinct. It's so well laid out, busts some myths that other writers have perpetrated. If you read carefully you will find these rules submersed in the unfolding of character.
This book demystifies writing a great novel. The subtitle transcends the otherwise merely good book. Also commendable, is the fact that the book is concise, well-written.
I wholeheartedly recommend it because almost everyone will find in it something to help them. Well done. Very accessible and usable. Not just worth the money but the space on your shelf for all the rest, too.
Lots of humour here. Not at all condescending. The writer conveys a broad range of writerly advice in bite sized portions.
Cons
This book contains gratingly run of the mill advice. It reads like it was written by a fourteen year old egomaniac with adhd.
