    Having grown fond of the author's original quick & dirty 'here's how it's done' style, i tire of the longer explanations toward the end of the series, which grow longer on opinions, drowning out some important and intriguing facts.

    You really do need to read them all to make sense of the information, even though the author insists the books are stand-alone.
