There was no powder in the box to indicate it was damaged during shipping. Buyer beware. Amazon refuses to take their worthless product back.
Clear jel is not suitable for canning pie filling. A disaster pie is one where the juice of the filling remains runny.
This product is hydrolyzed bovine collagen. This is not pectin. You have to add regular corn starch to get it to thicken.

I mix a little of the hot salsa and this in a bowl then pour it back in the giant pot and one or two stirs later the mix goes from boiling water consistency to what looks like thick boiling lava
