Pros

A cheap way to add a siren to your diy security setup. Works great. I think so since it is from honeywell as it is a pretty reputable company. Replaces our old ugly siren box.

It has a few different options for mounting and wire inlets. Hookup is easy, mounting is easy and best of all it works! My only complaint is that the screw down block should be easier to get to.

Use ear plugs while testing. If anyone has recommendations i'm all ears.

Cons

This thing is dead in the water less than 2 years out. It's not like it gets a lot of use either. Does not plug into 3 prong.

For you pay its a great product

However comparing with your standard alarm company sirens this one is not loud enough but it does the job and i am happy with it

The relay works with the ewelink app so i can use any alexa compatible contact or motion sensors

I was upgrading my alarm system and my old speaker alarm siren was not compatible with the new system

Price

For the price i wouldnt hesitate to buy again

Competitiveness

I use two of these with our smartthings home hub and a smartthings plug

I combined it with a 12vdc power supply and a 12vdc smart relay to make a plug in smart works with alexa alarm

So far it has surpassed all three of my dedicated zwave alarms that either failed or refused to stay connected to zwave
