Although this device does not include a push button touching the screen while i keep holding the device to my eyes works fine and was not very disruptive to the experience

I think that a big part of preserving the immersiveness is that the optical paths are tight enough so that with my nexus 6 if i hold the viewer normally i cant look past the edges of my cell phone screen at least if im looking through the lenses

I have not tried this device in a social setting yet since mine just arrived but i suspect that it is probably less isolating than a regular google cardboard viewer because your friends should be able to get a glimpse from the side to get an idea of what you are viewing

I recommend this product as a second google cardboard reader one that you can carry around to fulfill your civic duty to introduce everyone who crosses your path to google cardboard

It will take some time to actually erase the rubber but long before then it will probably become too loose to stay on the phone

At present the edges are furry with erasures and removing the viewer leaves erasures behind on the screen
