Pros

The paint stick allows you to paint without filling and refilling a tray then loading and reloading a roller dozens of times more than makes up for the added cleanup at the end. I like the fact that it didn't drip paint everywhere.

The extra cost is worth the savings in time and frustration. It reduces down time (back and forth to the paint source, getting an even load, etc. It is awesome.

Using the old ones on a deck to refinish and throwing them out is an awesome timesaver. The outer roller is replaceable - just like a regular roller. Cover all the foam and nylon/rubber parts with a thin layer of vaseline before storing.

Cons

Bought a roller from lowe's for $4 to finish the job. Unfortunately, these also leak (although not as much, and at least they didn't fall off) it drips everywhere and leaves runs on the wall from leaking.

Overall i was pleased with the results and it worked pretty well

Ive bought three of these things in my lifetime and might pick up a couple extra just in case they decide to stop making this great product

You might need some petroleum jelly for the orings every 4 or 5 paintings

And i am the clutz that always trips in my paint tray since i dont need one with this i am not the messiest painter

The hint to apply a little vaseline on the orings seals and sponge port is also very important basic maintenance

I picked this up at my local ace store i think they had some really old packaging however seems to be the same product

Make sure that you squirt all the paint in the reservoir tube back into the paint can

Competitiveness

Im a firsttime user and love this tool

But i just put a papertowel in it for now and that stops the drip

Not the typical itll get done just as soon as my wife nags at me enough
