You do have to be cautious of how the cable rests because it is easy to lose charging continuity due to the weak magnets though i dont think this is as big of an issue with a phone or device that lays flat easily

All i have to do to hook it up is just put the bottom of the phone close to the cord and it will hook up and start charging

To charge you need to lay the device to be charged on a flat surface and connect the twopart cable to the device and to a charger

After charging you can either pull the cable straight out from the device then both parts of the cable come off together or press off the magnet end of the cable sideways then the small part of the cable remains connected to the device
