I purchased this as a replacement for a failing drive on a nas unit back in april 2011 and the unit hasnt failed yet and the performance seems acceptable for a 7200rpm

Ive been using ibmhitachi hard drives ibm partnered with hitachi to jointly develop hard drive technology and turn it over in order to exit hard drive manufacturing almost exclusively for the last 10 years and they are excellent

Despite the low cost this is a mainstream hard drive with the speed required for basic video editing
